Executive Staff
Gerry Kearby - CEO
Mr. Kearby was the co-founder and CEO of a number of Silicon Valley professional and consumer audio companies. His pioneering work in digital audio workstations included contributing to the LucasFilm SoundDroid and developing the Studer Dyaxis system. He co-founded Liquid Audio, (now Liquid Digital Media) one of the first secure music distribution infrastructure companies, and has testified before Congress on digital rights issues. Mr. Kearby also received the 2000 Software Developers Forum Visionary Award. He brings over 25 years of technology management experience to NeuroTone.
Earl Levine Ph.D. - VP Engineering
Dr. Levine has worked with technology companies including Sony, Liquid Audio (where he was Chief Scientist), Vxtreme (acquired by Microsoft), Quantum, Ricoh, and numerous startups in the areas of signal processing, cross-platform and client-server software, embedded Linux, wireless and networking. He is an inventor on a dozen patents covering audio and video signal processing and compression technology. He earned a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, both in Electrical Engineering.
Rob Modeste - VP Hardware Development
Mr. Modeste was a co-founder of and consumer device specialist at Liquid Audio. He has been designing hardware systems at Silicon Valley companies including Apple, SGI, National Semiconductor, Studer, and Biomation since 1978. He was the head of the design team that created the Studer Dyaxis, the first commercially successful digital audio workstation and the first system with fully programmable digital audio interfaces. At Apple he did audio and systems design for the Pippin project. Mr. Modeste is an expert in off-the-shelf prototyping methods, and has never encountered a broken circuit he couldn't fix.
